Service Description
Ages 12+, students under 16 must be joined by an adult registrant. Have you ever seen those beautifully decorated eggs with intricate patterns and wondered how they were made? This workshop will explain where the traditional and ancient folk art of Pysanky (Ukrainian Easter Eggs) came from and how to create some of your own. We start with the basics, including how to prepare the eggs, how to choose the right colors and how to put the designs on the eggs. You will see eggs in the various stages of the process and I will be demonstrating step by step how to make and dye your very own Pysanky. I will have prepared anilin dyes to use during class and plenty of books about Pysanky to examine and become inspired! Students should bring the following: Candle (no taller than 6 inches) Candle holder 5-6 raw eggs - no cracks Old clothes or an apron (dyes are messy!)

Art Center Policy
1. The Art Center reserves the right to cancel camps, classes or workshops due to insufficient enrollment. If The Art Center cancels a camp, class or workshop registrants will receive a refund. We reserve the right to substitute an instructor if necessary. 2. Four business days notice must be given before the start of the first class if you wish to cancel. 3. Registration changes and cancellations will incur an administrative fee of $30. 4. Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the 1st day of the start of class. 5. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after the beginning of the class, camp or workshop. 6. Adult classes and workshops are open to adults 18 and older unless otherwise stated. 7. Children requiring a personal assistant or one-to-one (1:1) support must be accompanied by their direct support professional.
