First person storytelling shows are all the rage on stages and podcasts across the country. In this class, you will learn how to take true events from your own life and weave them into engaging performances. We will work on public speaking skills, presentation, story structure, different narrative approaches, and creating your own unique style. Each week, students will be given a new assignment for how to structure a story. Students choose their own subject matter for their personal stories. This class culminates in a graduation performance, where each student will share a 3-7 minute personal story. The benefits of learning and exercising improv skills can help any artist broaden their creativity through various enjoyable games and exercises that nurture and build confidence, mindfulness, habit-breaking techniques, and playfulness, all while boosting extra skills like collaboration, listening, and social connection. - Win) Tiny Treasures with Izzy O
Create your own characters, toys, miniature food and jewelry collection! Do you have a fascination with the teeny tiny? Join our Tiny Treasures class. Students learn how to use polymer clay and other art materials to create small figurines, adorable animals cute charms for keychains, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and much more. The possibilities are endless! Class projects include a mini game board, charm bracelet, a mini flower arrangement in a polymer clay vase and a tiny canvas painting complete with easel. No previous experience is needed for this class. Just bring a desire to learn and unlock your creative spirit! This class will also allow parents to stop by for any of the daily workshops for a small fee of $30 per class. Drop in payment will be accepted upon arrival.

Designed for youngsters in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. These emerging artists, will have fun exploring art through a study of master artists. Students experiment with an array of materials and tools including watercolor and acrylic paints, chalk pastels, and collage. This age appropriate curriculum is based on a playful approach to art; teaching fine art techniques, art history, and building confidence. Instructed by Ms. Izzy! Includes all supplies. Improv (short for improvisation) is a popular form of theatre in which the players spontaneously create stories, characters, and scenes. Through fun games and exercises, students will learn the essential improv skills of listening, reacting, collaborating with others, and trusting oneself. Over the course of seven weeks, students will learn how to release their natural creativity and create spontaneous stories both verbally and physically. This class will culminate in an entertaining demonstration for family and friends. Students in grades 7 - 12 welcome.

This class is simply eight weeks of meeting and playing in an enjoyable, supportive environment without the pressure of a final performance. - Win) Abstract Painting in Acrylics
All new paintings this session! We will emphasize abstract landscapes, with guided step-by-step demonstrations each week consisting of paint techniques w/acrylics & acrylic mediums on canvas. We will learn texturing, sponging, stippling, glazing, dry-brush, palette knife, dripping, blending & other techniques; how to prepare surfaces & build up the paint surface with layers; how to select, blend & mix colors to create pure abstracts and imaginary scenes and natural forms. You will learn how to add depth with layers with texture and color & create a balanced abstract composition. Instructor will bring examples of all materials the first day of class. You may want to wait to see all the materials before purchasing them. If you already purchased acrylic paints, bring what you have & a few stretched canvases or canvas boards. You can wait to purchase gels, pastes & mediums until after the first day of class. -Brushes: An assortment of soft nylon brushes from flats, rounds, & filberts in a range of sizes from small-large, one 2”soft, flat “gesso” brush. -Primed & stretched canvases or canvas boards. Suggested: 11x14, 12x16, 16x20. (Advanced painters can bring larger canvases). -Palette: disposable palettes, foam plates or paper palettes -Palette knife: at least one flexible pointed chisel-shaped metal knife -1 lg carry-all for wet paintings & tool box for your supplies -1 sm jar of Light Molding or Light Modeling Paste (see example in class) -1 sm jar of Gloss Gel Medium (see example in class) -1 sm bottle each of Acrylic Matte Medium (see example in class) - I container for water (ie. larger yogurt container) -1 roll of paper towels - disposable gloves (optional) -Paint: names of paints are all different, here is a recommended list with comparative names for acrylic paints.
