Service Description

Ages 11+, students under 16 must be joined by an adult registrant. Participants create a symbolic Motanka bird, horse, or doll using fabric and thread without sewing. The workshop explores the history and meaning of these traditional handmade talismans and their place in Ukrainian cultural heritage. Olga is a Ukrainian artist and instructor based in Alpharetta, where she teaches traditional Ukrainian folk art at the Ukrainian School of Atlanta. Her workshops combine hands-on artmaking with the history, symbolism, and cultural context behind each tradition, making them accessible to beginners while offering an authentic connection to Ukrainian heritage.
