Service Description
Join artist Leslie Murphy for a 4 week crash course in color theory using acrylic media (colors and concepts still applicable to oil media). We will delve deep into key color concepts as they relate to painting. Learn the ins and outs of color mixing through understanding the color wheel, complementary colors and color temperature. We will make charts, color wheels, and practice different layering techniques, as well as learn how to match specific color swatches. We will dive deeper with these color concepts with small painting studies that explore different palette and color scheme options and how best to use them. $10 supply fee paid directly to instructor during first class.

Art Center Policy
1. The Art Center reserves the right to cancel classes or camps due to insufficient enrollment. If The Art Center cancels a class or camp, registrants will receive a refund. We reserve the right to substitute an instructor if necessary. 2. The Art Center does not pro-rate class or camp fees. 3. Membership fees are non-refundable. 4. Four business days notice must be given before the start of the first class if you wish to cancel. 5. Registration changes and cancellations will incur an administrative fee of $30. 6. Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the 1st day of the start of class. 6a. For high demand classes: if you cancel your registration and vacate your seat, we will retain 50% of your initial registration fee to pay the instructor, if the seat cannot be filled. This is in addition to the $30 administration fee. 7. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after the beginning of the class or camp. 8. Adult classes and workshops are open to adults 18 and older unless otherwise stated.
