Learn different bead weaving techniques and fall in love with seed beads! We will work on different techniques from Spiral Rope to Peyote Stitch, Herringbone Stich to Right Angle Weave and Triangle Weave. We will be working with seed beads, triangle beads, Czech fire polished beads and Swarovski crystals. You can bring your beads, or all the supplies and kits will be available for purchase.

Whether you are a complete beginner or a potter who wishes to advance your skills this class is for you. This instructor led class will assist students of all levels expand their knowledge and creativity using the Potter's Wheel. *Included in the price of your class is a 25lb bag of clay as well as 2.5 hours of open studio time per week, to be used immediately following your class. Students may purchase 1 additional bag of clay from The Art Center over the course of the session. For a total of 50lbs maximum per session. Tool kits must be purchased by students and are available at most Dick Blick and Michaels stores. *Upcharge for porcelain clay: 1st bag $20, 2nd bag $50. Clay can be purchased at the front desk.
- Week 4 Grades 7-12 Teen Painting
Come create whimsical art! Working with a variety of media options, students will explore various drawing and painting techniques such as shading, brushwork, color mixing, hatching and cross hatching. We will work with charcoal, ink, watercolor, collage/cut paper, and acrylics. Each project will begin with concept sketches and reference images, then progress to a linework phase, then to the finished art. We will focus on making the most of the elements and principles of design while allowing students to flex their creative muscles in the process.

This camp is out of this world! Campers will learn how to use a wide range of drawing and painting media to explore the outer reaches of space with creative art projects.

Once upon a time there was a fun art camp that gave campers a chance to explore exciting new mediums in a creative environment. The campers learned to paint and draw and use mixed media to bring fairy tale creatures to life, and they lived happily ever after.
- Flower Collage Workshop
Joanne Easlick's Collage-Clip-Compose-Create Workshops are perfect for adults and teens looking to relax, recharge and get creative! We have a lot of fun in these workshops. Excellent for those that have collage as well as those that haven't yet explored this fun art form. These workshops will include using every printable material you can possibly imagine. Each session focuses on a different aspect of collage creation. Looking for a way to unwind? Pull in some positive energy through a relaxing art form? Recharge? Design a unique flower collage. There is no limit to the type of flowers or how your arrangement can be created. Using all the various mediums that I provide in this workshop you will be amazed at the endless ways to arrange a flower collage in a vase of or garden just in time for spring. At the end of the workshop you will take home a completed board to display in a special place in your home. This fun workshop will include using every printable material you can possibly imagine. The outcome is to create your own visual narrative from bits and pieces of various types of paper….think maps, newspapers, magazines, scrapbook paper and texture galore. Be creative without boundaries. Supplies: If you have small scissors you like to use, please bring them along. All other supplies will be provided by the instructor. Workshops available to adults and teens 13 years and up.

Exercise your acting muscles in this fun collaborative camp! Campers will work together to make a play from scratch, learning different improv and acting techniques along the way. At the end of the camp, all the campers will get to perform in their one-of-a-kind play!

This class is designed for students with previous pottery wheel experience. Students in this class will explore various forms, surfaces and techniques of throwing on the potters wheel. - Spr) Teen Improv
Improv (short for improvisation) is a popular form of theatre in which the players spontaneously create stories, characters, and scenes. Through fun games and exercises, students will learn the essential improv skills of listening, reacting, collaborating with others, and trusting oneself. Over the course of seven weeks, students will learn how to release their natural creativity and create spontaneous stories both verbally and physically. This class will culminate in an entertaining demonstration for family and friends. Students in grades 7 - 12 welcome.
