In this drawing focused class taught by a professional illustrator, students learn techniques and tricks of the trade allowing them to create realistic and effective artwork. This is an ideal class for the young artist interested in learning storyboarding and effective illustration techniques. Students hone their observational skills strengthening the ability to communicate ideas and thoughts through drawings. The class will teach anatomy, dynamic poses, shading, scene creation, blocking and how to draw movement. They learn character creation and how to effectively integrate their characters into convincing scenes. Students will explore rapid visualization techniques and learn to refine and edit their drawings. This class is designed for youth students in grades 6-12. Includes all supplies.

Immerse your child in a creative experience and spark their artistic talents! Your child will acquire drawing and painting skills while exploring mixed media and artistic techniques. A fun, educational, age appropriate art class for the young art enthusiast. After School Art - Students experiment with an array of materials and tools including watercolor and acrylic paints, and chalk pastels. Class is held in your child's school and begins after the school day dismissal. Includes all supplies. You must send a change of dismissal form with your child notifying the school that your child attends this after school class. Once you've registered your child for this class, an email will be sent containing the form. Please fill it out and submit it to your school. Joanne Easlick's Collage-Clip-Compose-Create Workshops are perfect for adults and teens looking to relax, recharge and get creative! We have a lot of fun in these workshops. Excellent for those that have collage as well as those that haven't yet explored this fun art form. These workshops will include using every printable material you can possibly imagine. Each session focuses on a different aspect of collage creation. Pets? Favorite Animals? Collage Happiness is around the corner. So many artists enjoy painting their adorable pets, but an animal or pet collage is pure fun and joy. Using an image of your choice you will create a collage that incorporates the colors of the animal, their expressions, plus a background that coordinates with your color scheme. Due to the detail in an animal collage it does take a bit of time to complete. Please bring a closeup photo of your animal 8" x 10" in size. We will use the photo to transfer the image onto the mixed media paper as a guide. The completed collage will be a masterpiece to display in your home. Supplies: If you have small scissors you like you use, please bring them along. All other supplies will be provided by the instructor. Workshops available to adults and teens 13 years and up.

Anime is a highly distinctive style of cartoon drawing which originated in Japan and enjoys immense worldwide popularity. Anime are the characters appearing in manga which are Japanese graphic novels and comic strips. There are a wide variety of manga appropriate for children through adult readers. Manga characters are instantly recognizable by their large eyes, highly stylized hair, fashionable clothing and overall expressive quality. Beginning with simple step by step drawings, students will learn facial expression, body proportions, and coloring techniques. Students will create and develop detailed colored drawings of at least two characters that will be used in the creation of their own manga. Projects change from one session to the next. Includes all supplies.

This wet-on-wet oil painting is for all beginners. There is no need for drawing. No patterns you just need a canvas then you’re ready to create your world. Every time you paint you will find success! With a serious passion for painting, Jae specializes in landscape and floral oil paintings utilizing Bob Ross's painting techniques. Jae believes painting has the power to make you happy and she loves sharing that experience with others. What Jae loves the most about teaching is showing people that anyone can paint while having a fun and enjoyable experience! Her technique is all about making you feel at ease and confident with your brushstrokes. Remember, there are no mistakes, only happy accidents! Jae is heavily inspired by the Bob Ross style of art that was immensely popular in the USA through the highly successful series "The Joy of Painting", which was hosted by Mr. Ross and ran on PBS from the 80's thru the early 90's. Bob Ross was a 20-year Air Force Sergeant who became a masterful art teacher and an expert in oil painting. He is also an iconic American, known and loved by millions. He continued to teach until his early passing in 1995. Jae Montano is passing on Bob Ross's artistic heritage while adding a personal touch and cultural flair to each brushstroke and each step of her artistic journey. She strived to perfect his style. She found that painting makes you happy. When she found that there was a program thru Bob Ross Inc. to get a certification as an instructor, she perused this and received her Certifications. Jae is now the only certified Bob Ross instructor in the Northern Georgia Area. She tries to inspire many others to follow in Bob Ross’s footsteps and try something new. So, if you’re ready to have fun, join Jae and others by attending a class and tap into the creative side that you never knew you had. Mixed media for beginners is a fun introduction to painting and sculpting. This class will allow students to experiment with different materials and textures to help them discover and create exciting new material relationships. Students will be focusing on material study and we will have fun materials to experiment and play with daily. We will be exploring 2d and 3d art using materials like paper, air dry clay, newspapers/magazines, acrylics, charcoal, canvases and found objects. This class will also allow parents to stop by for any of the daily workshops for a small fee of $30 per class. Drop in payment will be accepted upon arrival. Learn how to throw on the wheel to make fun and functional ceramic pieces! Teens will learn the techniques needed to create ceramic dishware as well as hand built clay sculptures. The pieces will be fired in a kiln and then students will learn different glazing and painting techniques to create truly unique ceramics. Art projects differ each week.

Learn how to create fun, decorative, and functional clay projects! Students will explore fundamental clay skills like pinch, coil, and slab to build their own ceramic creations. They will then learn glazing and surface decorating techniques to finish off their one-of-a-kind creations! Projects differ week to week.

Portrait, still life or nature whatever interests you. This class is for all levels of experience where you work on a project at your own speed and have fun! A project can be given to you or choose your own to work on in the medium you prefer. Reference material will be supplied if you don’t have your own. This class will meet for 6 weeks and is priced accordingly.
