- Week 2 Grades 8-12: Teen Stand Up Comedy
Learn to write stand-up comedy from scratch! Students will learn methods to write jokes based on fun facts, news stories, and personal anecdotes. Students will receive tips and personally curated direction on how to establish audience connection, pace jokes, and present themselves for optimal reactions and relatability in stand-up comedy performance. Each student will leave the class having written a stand-up set to perform in a showcase at the end of the camp.
- Week 4 Grades K-2 Drawing and Painting
This camp is out of this world! Campers will learn how to use a wide range of drawing and painting media to explore the outer reaches of space with creative art projects.
- Week 2 Grades 1-5: Create-A-Play
Exercise your acting muscles in this fun collaborative camp! Campers will work together to make a play from scratch, learning different improv and acting techniques along the way. At the end of the camp, all the campers will get to perform in their one-of-a-kind play!
- Week 5 Ceramics Camp Grades 2-6
Learn how to create fun, decorative, and functional clay projects! Students will explore fundamental clay skills like pinch, coil, and slab to build their own ceramic creations. They will then learn glazing and surface decorating techniques to finish off their one-of-a-kind creations! Projects differ week to week.

From crafting functional ceramics like cups and bowls to exploring your artistic side with sculpting, there's something for you. Although this is not a project based class, projects may be assigned to assist students in expanding their handbuilding skills. Create your own characters, toys, miniature food and jewelry collection! Do you have a fascination with the teeny tiny? Join our Tiny Treasures class. Students learn how to use polymer clay and other art materials to create small figurines, adorable animals cute charms for keychains, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and much more. The possibilities are endless! Class projects include a mini game board, charm bracelet, a mini flower arrangement in a polymer clay vase and a tiny canvas painting complete with easel. No previous experience is needed for this class. Just bring a desire to learn and unlock your creative spirit! This class will also allow parents to stop by for any of the daily workshops for a small fee of $30 per class. Drop in payment will be accepted upon arrival.

In this beginning to early-intermediate drawing course we work with a range of techniques and dry media. The class is designed as a series of sequential projects, building on fundamental drawing principles such as proportion, scale, value and perspective. Students are introduced to common media utilized to complete drawings. Students also gain understanding and knowledge of space, light and composition while learning to "see" in a manner that translates the subject into a drawing or painting. Supply List Graphite Pencils: 4B, 2B, HB, 2H, 4H and any others you would like to try Paper Blending Sticks, sometimes called tortillons, with sandpaper for sharpening them Kneaded Eraser Sketchbook with drawing paper, 9x12 Curriculum Breakdown: Week 1: Learning to make the mental shift into "perception mode" using blind contour drawing, upside down drawing, and using positive and negative shapes/spaces Week2: Value and shading - using a value scale and shading the four basic shapes (sphere, cone, cylinder, and cube) Week3: Still life with grid - use the grid technique to draw a small still-life and then shade it in (the example in the class description is a student drawing from this class) Week4: Figure drawing/ basic proportions of the body - using gesture drawing as a warm-up, and photos of athletes and dancers for reference Week5: Faces and features - drawing a face using proportional guidelines and tips to improve eyes, mouth, nose, hair, ears, and shading Week 6: Perspective - basics of one point perspective and how to show depth in drawings with buildings and interiors Week7: Pen and ink - Techniques of drawing with pen and ink, including hatching, cross hatching, stippling, and showing various textures and patterns Week 8: Animals - how to break down a sketch into simple basic shapes and how to draw fur, basic animal anatomy Example of student 'Basic Drawing' work below:

Mixed media for beginners is a fun introduction to painting and sculpting. This class will allow students to experiment with different materials and textures to help them discover and create exciting new material relationships. Students will be focusing on material study and we will have fun materials to experiment and play with daily. We will be exploring 2d and 3d art using materials like paper, air dry clay, newspapers/magazines, acrylics, charcoal, canvases and found objects. This class will also allow parents to stop by for any of the daily workshops for a small fee of $30 per class. Drop in payment will be accepted upon arrival.
