  • Spring Break Create-A-Play

    Exercise your acting muscles in this fun collaborative camp! Campers will work together to make a play from scratch, learning different improv and acting techniques along the way. At the end of the camp, all the campers will get to perform in their one-of-a-kind play!

    Students will be encouraged to go the extra mile with preliminary drawings and color studies while working on their own paintings. Work at your own pace in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Each session features 3 instructor demonstrations of advanced painting techniques. This class will delve deeper into color theory, mixing, and application, as well as, composition and design strategies. Because everyone's needs are different, supplies will be discussed during the first class. New students, bring your current painting in progress (if you have one) and any materials you already have. Returning students, bring your current painting and materials.   • Win) Kids Clay Thursday Grades 2-6

    In this playful and creative class students will use their imagination to create functional and sculptural works of art. We will explore and use the basic forms of handbuilding- pinchpot, coil, and slab. All pieces will be glazed and food safe. Includes all supplies.

  • Week 7 Pottery Camp Grades 7-12

    Learn how to throw on the wheel to make fun and functional ceramic pieces! Teens will learn the techniques needed to create ceramic dishware as well as hand built clay sculptures. The pieces will be fired in a kiln and then students will learn different glazing and painting techniques to create truly unique ceramics. Art projects differ each week.

    Unleash your child's creativity at The Art Center! Our imaginative drawing class teaches essential concepts like sketching, color theory, and the exploration of shape, form, value, and texture. Students will engage in diverse projects using acrylics, oil pastels, watercolors, and chalk pastels, all in a supportive environment that fosters artistic growth and self-expression. Register today and inspire a lifelong passion for the arts! This class will also allow parents to stop by for any of the daily workshops for a small fee of $30 per class. Drop in payment will be accepted upon arrival. Samples of student's work below:

  • J. Spr) Tammy J Thurs AM Interm. Wheel

    This class is designed for students with previous pottery wheel experience. Students in this class will explore various forms, surfaces and techniques of throwing on the potters wheel. There will be projects assigned throughout the class, this is a great way for the experienced potter to expand their knowledge of clay. *Included in the price of your class is a 25lb bag of clay as well as 2.5 hours of open studio time per week, to be used immediately following your class. Students may purchase 1 additional bag of clay from The Art Center over the course of the session. For a total of 50lbs maximum per session. Tool kits must be purchased by students and are available at most Dick Blick and Michaels stores. *Upcharge for porcelain clay: 1st bag $20, 2nd bag $50. Clay can be purchased at the front desk.

  • Week 1 Grades 3-5 Drawing & Painting

    Create artwork that steps out of the world of myths! Campers will exercise their art skills with a range of creative projects exploring drawing and painting mediums like acrylic, colored pencil, markers, and mixed media. Their art will be the stuff of legends!

  • Week 5 Musical Theatre Camp

    Calling all the KPOP Demon Hunter fans!  Channel your inner KPop Star while you spend all week preparing for an epic concert featuring your favorite KPop songs!  🎭 Theatre games to sharpen acting skills  🩰Choreography that's high-energy, flashy, and super fun!  🎤 Vocal training for dramatic solos and show-stopping ensemble numbers 🎶 Perform an epic concert on Friday for family and friends! 

  • E. Spr) KB Lim Tues AM Handbuilding

    Discover the joys of pottery in this handbuilding class for students of all levels! From crafting functional ceramics like cups and bowls to exploring your artistic side with sculpting, there's something for you. We'll guide you through different techniques while leaving room for your imagination to soar and have fun. Although this is not a project based class, projects may be assigned to assist students in expanding their handbuilding skills. Chen Pin Hsu will be the lead instructor on (Tuesday and Friday mornings) on the following dates: March 31, April 3, 14, 17 *Included in the price of your class is a 25lb bag of clay as well as 2.5 hours of open studio time per week, to be used immediately following your class.
