Service Description

Fundamentals II This class is designed for the Advanced Beginner - Intermediate level painter who wants to learn and explore painting techniques to create representational art. We will learn the use of line drawing and design, applying a value structure, and understanding color theory to create harmony. Structured by modules, this class will guide the student to perform basic painting exercises that explore color theory, importance of line drawing, value structure, and composition. We will discuss the planning process and the techniques of starting a painting during the first class. The students will create their own paintings employing these theories. Students should bring their own reference photos to class and/or any paintings that they have previously started. iPads or tablets are recommended, but not required. Supply List: Please refer to Fundamentals I for the list of supplies. Additional supplies will be discussed at the first class. This class will run for 7 weeks and is priced accordingly.

Cancellation Policy

1. The Art Center reserves the right to cancel classes or camps due to insufficient enrollment. If The Art Center cancels a class or camp, registrants will receive a refund. We reserve the right to substitute an instructor if necessary. 2. The Art Center does not pro-rate class or camp fees. 3. Membership fees are non-refundable. 4. Four business days notice must be given before the start of the first class if you wish to cancel. 5. Registration changes and cancellations will incur an administrative fee of $30. 6. Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the 1st day of the start of class. 6a. For high demand classes: if you cancel your registration and vacate your seat, we will retain 50% of your initial registration fee to pay the instructor, if the seat cannot be filled. This is in addition to the $30 administration fee. 7. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after the beginning of the class or camp.
